- Frederic W. Malek - CEO & Co-Founder. As chief executive
officer and co-founder of TIG Global, Fred manages all aspects
of the company's growth, performance, and operations. Prior to
founding TIG Global, Fred worked for Bank of America and for
Nomura Capital, before serving as vice president of acquisitions
and new business development at Thayer Lodging Group - a private
hotel ownership group - where he directed the company's new business
ventures, strategic developments, operations, and Internet
distribution strategies. During his tenure, he spearheaded the
growth of the company's hotel assets from 2,000 to 4,000 rooms,
adding an incremental $1 billion to the portfolio valuation. Fred
also served in several areas of the military, including a tour of
duty in the Navy Special Forces and a combat mission in Desert Storm.
He holds a bachelors of science from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA
from the Wharton School of Business.
- Trip Schneck - President & Co-Founder. As president, Trip guides
the overall strategic direction, development, and operations of TIG Global.
Trip previously served as vice president of asset management and strategy at
Thayer Lodging Group - where he oversaw distribution strategies, revenue
management, sales, marketing, and business-development initiatives. He
was also responsible for managing the Thayer Lodging Group portfolio,
made up of 23 hotels, with a market value in excess of $2 billion.
Prior to joining Thayer Lodging Group, Trip served as the operations
director for several hotels, and as a consultant working with large
pension funds to improve hotel investment operations. Trip holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He currently also serves on the Advisory Board for Cornell University's Center for Hospitality Research.
- Paul Peddrick - SVP of Creative & Technical Services. Paul oversees
creative direction at TIG Global, as well as the custom-application
development practice. By focusing on the nexus of usability and technology,
Paul helps TIG Global hospitality clients maximize brand development,
functionality, efficiency, and revenue in their online presence. Previously,
Paul was Director of Application Strategy at Bixler Incorporated, where he
oversaw client engagement and product development. Employing strategic
analysis and definition, he helped Fortune 500 clients in the hospitality,
publishing, and manufacturing industries achieve ROI through use of web-based
applications. Paul has also held management positions in the advertising
and publishing sectors. He holds a bachelors of arts from the University
of Virginia.
