Sr. Web Developer
Washington DC-based TIG Global is the market leader in developing interactive marketing strategies for the finest hotels and resorts . We are searching for a seasoned Senior Web Developer to drive the development for multiple, simultaneous projects. This position will be responsible for designing and developing conceptual and full-scale web applications, and interactive features for TIG Global’s web applications. The role will be responsible for maintaining our internal and external web applications and maintaining the vision and strategy for the most efficient and effective way to develop and deploy web applications. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining applications in conjunction with the Database Developer.
The role will be the primary leader for project management, development, system administration, application support and implementation. The position will lead project management and development of all web applications. The person will work closely with business stakeholders to create prototype and production sites targeting the needs of both internal and external clients.

Responsibilities
- Translate user requirements and complicated business problems into highly usable web applications.
- Construct prototypes to effectively communicate interaction designs.
- Assist in authoring functional interaction requirements.
- Excellent time and project management skills (manage multiple projects simultaneously, plan and implement projects according to specifications report project status, identify delays or resource shortages).
- Work with usability specialists to conduct customer studies of prototypes and existing interfaces; integrate changes based on usability tests.
- Conceive, document, and evangelize user interface guidelines and standards.
- Ensure a consistent look and feel across the application; raise all application interfaces to a high standard of user-centered design.
- Lead outside consultants as required, including outsourcing and off-shore development teams.
- Provide integration of salesforce.com and other external data sources.
- Create and maintain project and support documentation.
- Assist in development of customized demos.
- Team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Independent self-starter with strong project management skills.
- High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments.
- Digital/Online Direct Marketing or Hospitality Industry experience a plus.
Technical Requirements
- Expert programming and web technology skills required most of the following: Object oriented programming principles, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#.NET, JSP/ASP.NET.
- Detailed knowledge of integration technologies such as Web services / XML.
- Demonstrable web UI design skills for building and supporting medium and large-scale sites with ability to show relevant work.
Expert in user-centered design methods and best practices.
- Knowledge of server-side scripting languages (Perl, PHP, JSP) and proficiency in relational database concepts.
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems and Web Analytics software (Omniture, WebTrends, WebSideStory).
- Thorough knowledge of the differences in web browsers, operating systems, current web technologies, and emerging trends.
- Ability to identify, assess, and resolve web development problems (ability to determine/describe how technology tools may contribute to a web solution).
- Experience researching, testing, and rolling out software solutions.
- BS and MS in Computer Science.
- 5-10 years experience working as a senior web developer and 3 or more years of interaction design experience on web applications.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
