Search Engine Optimization Intern
TIG Global is the market leader in developing interactive marketing strategies for the hospitality industry - proven to drive powerful results for more than 800 of the finest hotels, resorts, and other companies throughout the world. TIG Global will provide a college-level intern with the opportunity to learn about Search Engine Optimization in the travel industry by actively participating in the optimization of TIG Global's hotels. Through an intensive semester-long program, the intern will be exposed to a variety of business processes and general optimization tactics utilized to promote travel over the Internet. TIG Global is currently seeking a SEO Intern for the fall/winter and spring, with the ability to start as soon as the semester begins and / or immediately!
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates for the SEO internship at TIGG should possess the following attributes:
- Basic HTML knowledge
- Be comfortable accessing and uploading files to a FTP server
- Be technically inclined
- Specific knowledge, understanding of or interest in search engine optimization (SEO) is a plus
What you will learn:
The intern will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic online-agency environment, and will learn the following:
- Researching and developing Search Engine Optimization processes and techniques
- Meta tags, title tags, keyword optimization, link popularity
- Google Webmaster Tools, Yahoo Site Explorer and MSN Webmaster tools: These utilities allow TIGG to track and monitor how search engines interact with our clients' websites.
- Assisting the SEO Director with auditing clients' websites as well as the TIG Global extranet
